Human/Wildlife Conflict Committee

The Human-Wildlife Conflict Committee is pleased to announce the Wildlife Human Attack Response Training class will be offered in Verdi, NV during May 7-11, 2018.  Registration is $375 for early bird registration through April 13, and $425 thereafter.  This training will provide certification in dealing with human attacks and provide valuable information before it occurs.  Use the following link to register for the conference:  Registration

This conference is probably unlike any you’ve attended in the past; be ready for long days full of critical information, hands-on labs, field scenario training or observation, and so much more! Because we’re the first to admit these are long days (and in effort to give you a basic foundation to work from), you will be provided with supplemental information on some of our topics. Feel free to bring this with you and use it as a resource later. After the conference you’ll have both knowledge and experience on truly unique subject matter. We hope you never need to USE what you learn, there’s truth in: “Hope for the best but plan for the worst.”

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Boomtown Casino and Hotel, but reservations must be made by April 30.  The phone number to call is 775-345-6000, and remember to use code SFWA to get the conference rates, Sunday through Thursday of 57.99 plus tax.  Friday night will be a little higher, but still under GSA per diem rates.
